Sleeper agents from birth called Terror babies

Some Texas Republicans suggesting that the 14th amendment to the U.S. constitution be repealed are calling children born in the U.S. by illegal immigrants “terror babies.” U.S. citizenship is of course to anybody born in America with the 14th amendment. All of the illegal immigrants coming to America pregnant to have their babies are being paid by taxpayers, says Louie Gohmert, Texas congressman, and Debbie Riddle who is the state representative. Next they become sleeper agents back in their own country and return to the U.S. as adults to attack.

Concerns with terror babies

CNN’s Anderson Cooper talked all about the conspiracy theory about terror babies. All the details on terror babies came from “former FBI officials” according to Republicans in Texas, Riddle and Gohmert. Gohmert wants the 14th amendment to be changed which is why terror babies were brought up. Women from other countries have children in the U.S. “with the nefarious purpose of turning them into little terrorists, who’ll then come back to the U.S. and do us harm,” says Riddle.

There is no proof that terror babies actually exist as they were being pressed by Cooper. Riddle complained on camera that before the taping not a soul warned her that she would have to come up with actual facts during the interview.

U.S. law makes it difficult to have these babies

When thinking about how the law is set up, says Think Progress, there is not much of a chance for there to be terror babies like these. The process to get a tourist visa to the U.S. is rigorous. An officer at the U.S. embassy has to interview these individuals who will provide evidence of their trip purpose, fingerprints and photos. The purpose in the country is typically to work for those immigrant women who do really have children in the U.S. who become American citizens.

Anchor babies a slow boat to citizenship

There is more of an argument for rewriting the 14th amendment because of “anchor babies” rather than terror babies considering “birthright citizenship” shouldn’t be in the amendment. It is not easier becoming a U.S. citizen by having an anchor baby within the U.S., reports PolitiFact. More than 30 years are wasted in this process. Children aren’t able to sponsor their parents who aren’t citizens unless they’re 21 years old. If the parents seeking sponsorship happen to be illegal immigrants, they must return home for 10 years before applying to re-enter the U.S.

FBI evidence doesn’t exist}

Cooper interviewed on CNN Tom Fuentes, FBI’s assistant director in international operations from 2004 to 2008, after the terror babies story came out from Gohmert and Riddle. As outlined by Fuentes, there has never been anything on terror babies. Elise Hu of the Texas Tribune made an open-records request for communication between Riddle’s office and previous FBI agents. There are no records.
